It is not an uncommon phenomenon to see that people from the ages of 55-75 suffer from depression. 15 to 20% older adults are affected by depression which is one of the most serious mental health concerns. Poor sleep, decreased energy and change in eating habits are all symptoms of depression. One should not consider it as a part of aging. This prevents older adults to enjoy their life and also puts strain on their health. It can lead to other health concerns. Depression can be treated. If your loved ones are suffering from depression don’t leave them undiagnosed. Help them to keep a positive attitude towards their life. Take them to doctor for regular check up.
