What are the Common Childhood Diseases and Conditions

Many childhood diseases and conditions have developed over the years. Initially these diseases are not that dangerous. But if you can’t recognize the symptoms and neglect the disease it might lead to serious health consequences. One of the most common diseases among children is whooping cough which results in long bouts of choking and coughing. If neglected, whooping cough can lead to pneumonia, bronchitis and convulsions.

Another known disease is diphtheria which initiates with sore throat but can result in serious respiratory illness if proper measure are not been taken. Polio is also a very common illness that attacks the nervous system leaving the muscles paralyzed. Hence it is important to get vaccinated against Polio. Mumps, though considered a mild illness can cause hearing problems. If any of these diseases attack your child go for immediate treatment.
